The International Ticket and Travel Center was set up by Ruth Schweiger in February 2017. Ruth has many years’ experience in the tourism industry both in Germany and Ireland.

Ruth, born in Limerick, Ireland, grew up in Dublin before moving to Schwangau, near Füssen in Germany in 1995. Before moving to Germany, Ruth studied a B.A. in Business Studies in Dublin Business School (then Accountancy and Business College).

Since moving to Germany, Ruth has run a small family hotel and restaurant with her former husband as well as providing tours both in Germany and in Ireland.

An opportunity presented itself in July 2016 to set up business directly at Füssen Train Station, where over a thousand visitors arrive daily in the high season to visit the famous Neuschwanstein Castle. Ruth, having run a hotel in the area and provided tours, saw a gap in the market to provide a better service to the day tourists as well as helping guests staying in the area plan their holidays better and easier.

The idea of the skip-the-line castle tickets came about as, despite a very well organized system provided by the Wittelsbacher Ausgleich Fonds and the Castle Department of the Bavarian State, many guests still arrive spontaneously in the summer months and are disappointed with long waiting lines or sold out castles.  We were very successful in our first season providing many of these guests with tickets.

We also provide fast-track tours, for those who would like a guide to help them enjoy their day in Neuschwanstein as quickly and easily as possible.

You can get your skip-the-line Neuschwanstein Castle tickets with us as well as many other tickets for tourist attractions in the area. We also sell Flixbus and train tickets, helping you plan the rest of your vacation through Europe.
We also stock a large selection of travel accessories for your convenience.

We would be delighted to help you in any way we can!

Discover the beauty of Füssen

Make the most of your time and experience as much as you can by avoiding the lines and booking with us.

When planning your time in Fussen and visiting Neuschwanstein Castle, try to plan time to visit the beautiful medieval town of Fussen with its historical High Palace, Museum and Gallery. For a relatively small town, Fussen also has many beautiful churches and family-own shops selling local products exclusive to Fussen or Bavaria.

The village of Hohenschwangau also offers its visitors much more than “just” a world-famous castle. Did you know that there are in fact two castles? The second, older castle – Hohenschwangau should not be missed. This is where King Ludwig II spent a lot of time both in his childhood and adulthood with his family, especially his mother Maria and brother Otto. Ludwig was also visited here by the renowned composer Richard Wagner, who influenced so much of Ludwig’s ideas for Neuschwanstein Castle and the sagas represented throughout the castle.

Another must see in Hohenschwangau is the Museum of Bavarian Kings. The museum will provide you with all the background history of the Bavarian Kings and their connections to other Royal families throughout Europe. It also has a great selection of artefacts that will help you imagine how the royal families lived in the 18th and 19th century.

There are various combination-tickets available if you have time to visit more than Neuschwanstein. The ticket for all three objects, The Swan Ticket, ensures you have an interesting and fascinating day out in Hohenschwangau.

Hohenschwangau also has a good selection of restaurants and food stands. You won’t go hungry or thirsty! You can sample local “Allgäuer” cuisine or for the not so adventurous, there is always an international option.

Also allow yourself time to visit the shops in the village, as each has its own speciality, as well as the popular magnets, t-shirts and steins.
The gifts available are of a very high standard.

In summer, it is worth giving yourself time for a picnic or just a walk along the banks of the Alpsee lake, with the views of the Austrian and Bavarian Alps. It is a beautiful way to spend time admiring the spectacular landscapes. You can also hire a rowing boat on Alpsee lake or take a dip in the crystal clear waters.

If you are staying in the area, a great way to wind down after a day of touring is to visit the Royal Chrystal Thermal Spa with its various saunas, treatments and relaxing pools. We offer reduced price tickets and also information on how to get there.
