Pre-purchase Your Hohenschwangau Castle Ticket

Built by King Maximillian II of Bavaria, Hohenschwangau Castle is best known as the neighbor of the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle, but this less famous building has a rich history and vibrant rooms and grounds that demand to be explored during your Germany vacation.

By booking your castle ticket ahead of time, you can simply collect it in our office at the train station in Füssen before your tour. After getting your ticket, travel by bus or car to the village of Hohenschwangau. From there, you have your choice of walking up to the castle or taking a pleasant ride in a horse-drawn carriage.

Since you already have your ticket, there is no need for you to join any long lines, and you can begin your tour right away. The tour inside the castle is given by an official castle tour guide and lasts about 30 minutes. Learn all about the royal family that resided there during the 19th century and explore the colorful murals, an array of halls and rooms, and ornate furnishings and details fit for a king.

After the official tour, you can enjoy the beautiful gardens and spectacular views of Neuschwanstein Castle.

Plan your castle tour today by purchasing your ticket from International Ticket & Travel Center.

Please note: Ticket must be collected at our ticket office at least 90 minutes before your tour begins. There are steps up to Hohenschwangau Castle but it is much easier to reach than Neuschwanstein Castle.  Allow 2 1/2 hours from beginning to completing the tour and to getting back to Füssen.
